Whether you love them or hate them, bathrooms are an important part of your home. It can be a quiet place of luxury and comfort or just another room you can close the door on. Why not let your bathroom shine?

All too often the bathroom is set aside to function and carry on. As long as it works, it great. While there is much to be said for a functional bathroom, there is no reason it shouldn’t be a well loved part of your home. Here are 3 easy changes you can make to your bathroom to get a big upgrade.

Color & Style

Using a patterned or colored tile on the floor or backsplash can give the room an extra kick. There are many ways to add color to a room, from the shower curtain to rugs or even plants. A splash of color can brighten things up and add a bit of art.

Storage

Every bathroom could use a bit of storage. Be it a full blow linen closest or just a place to keep things in the vanity. You have several options for storage, be sure to choose the right one for your space. Perhaps all you need is the medicine cabinet. Keep it simple and functional, particularly if it is a smaller space. If you are sharing the bathroom with the laundry room, make sure you keep things organized, give everything a space so the room won’t feel cluttered.

Lighting

Light is a crucial part of any room and the same goes for the bathroom. Bathrooms often come with built in light fixtures, but that’s no reason not to customize it. Changing the light cover or adding vanity lights can bring a lot more into a room. Does your bathroom have a window? Perhaps the curtains are too dark. Natural light is the best light, be sure you are using yours wisely.

Hardware

New hardware can make the difference in any room. From your faucet to you knobs, a change in hardware can offer the simple face lift your bathroom was waiting for.
