Advanced framing method reduces lumber, improves energy efficiency

Are you using too much lumber when building a home? Thanks to advanced insulation materials, traditional framing methods requiring tighter stud spacing and larger dimensional lumber are being reconsidered by builders and remodelers. Lumber, after all, has a lower R-value and higher price than insulation.
