FRAME SAVER DOOR JAMBS

We have all been there.  The dreaded CALL BACK.  You installed a door years ago and now the door is not fitting right and the jamb is rotting away.

DARN YOU NEW WOOD AND YOUR CRAPPY QUALITIES!

Well kiss those rotten door jamb call backs away!  Now you can get jambs with a composite bottom 4" or an entirely composite.  I know what you are thinking, let me stop you right there.  This is not the vinyl jambs that teased us a few years back.  These composite jambs are strong, they will take the beating from our climate and hold true.

The basic theory is that the bottom of your door jamb is exposed.  Because it is made of wood and in the elements it sucks in that moisture.  This moisture wicking is just a natural function of wood.  If you take the bottom exposed end of the jamb and make it out of a non-moisture absorbing material your jamb will not soak up water.  In short your jamb will not ROT!

These are AWESOME!

You can get the jambs composite only at the bottom or make the entire jamb composite.  If you are doing a house that is on the water it could be a good idea to do the full composite.   The full composite jamb is available in paint grade or stain grade!

With all the rain, snow, salt ocean air, and sun we get this jamb is the perfect compliment to any door install.
