When a North Shore family approached us about reimagining their kitchen and primary bath, they knew what they wanted: a space that felt calm, natural, and timeless. Our designer Alicia D’Annolfo worked closely with the homeowners and Josh Pinstein of Fine Home Concepts to craft a design that balances luxury with livability, creating a home that feels both beautiful and functional for everyday living and entertaining.

At the heart of this project is the Shiloh Hanover door style with slab drawer fronts, crafted from rift-cut White Oak and finished in a soft Straw stain. The light wood tones keep the palette natural and airy, establishing a sense of openness and continuity throughout the home.

Built with flush inset construction and plywood boxes, paired with Blum soft-close hinges and full-extension glides, these cabinets are designed not only for beauty but also for durability. Emtek’s Freestone hardware brings a subtle modern edge, tying the design together with clean lines.

To add contrast and personality, a Fisher & Paykel appliance suite was selected — a pop of modern color against the warm oak that keeps the kitchen from feeling too neutral.

One of the most important goals of this design was creating a layout that flows seamlessly between spaces, encouraging both family connection and effortless entertaining.
Full-Height Pantry: A bold yet practical design element that anchors the room and provides generous storage for a growing family.
Dedicated Zones: From food storage at the pantry and fridge, to a bar area at the far end of the kitchen that opens to the dining space and outdoor deck — every zone was intentionally planned for ease of use and organization.
Central Sink Placement: Cleanup is simple with the sink thoughtfully positioned for balance and function.

Corner Solutions: With features like a lazy susan and LeMans system, even the trickiest corners are maximized for space and efficiency.
Custom Touches: The crown moulding was a very intentional design choice by the homeowner and Alicia as the homeowner wanted something streamlined and not very ornate but still with a custom finish feel. Josh was able to deliver on this request with a simple but modern detail to add interest.
Open Shelving: A curated corner of shelves creates a perfect spot for displaying sentimental pieces, adding warmth and personality while providing a design solution for a tricky corner.
This kitchen was more than just a renovation — it was a year-long design journey. Through many in-person meetings and design iterations, our clients collaborated closely with our designer Alicia and their contractor Josh. The result is a space that perfectly reflects their vision while benefiting from expert guidance and thoughtful detailing.

The serene feeling of the kitchen carries into the primary bath. By using the same White Oak cabinetry with remnant stone from the kitchen countertops, the bath feels like a natural extension of the home’s design.
Highlights include:
A slanted roofline that frames open shelving and creates a feature moment upon entry that feels custom and intentional.
Additional storage nooks that balance practicality with style.
Open shelving displays that enhance the spa-like atmosphere for the homeowner to relax in a space that feels thoughtful and tranquil.
The result is a bath that feels like a retreat — calm, clean, and restorative.

Every detail of this project was designed with continuity, comfort, and connection in mind. From the kitchen’s open flow into the dining and living spaces to the serene tones of the primary bath, this renovation creates a home that brings a beautiful sanctuary for this growing family.
