Grand Banks, which has been serving both builders and homeowners on Cape Ann and the North Shore for more than 30 years, recently invested in a new solar system to provide power to its facility at 7 Crafts Road in Gloucester.

“I felt it most important to invest in solar and build a future for generations to come,” said Lans Banks, founder and president of Grand Banks, in a statement. “I had the perfect location and the perfect roof for solar so it all made good sense to me.”

“I chose to go with the local solar company, Cazeault Solar and Home,” said Banks. “It is important to me to have a company with the best recommendations and good track record. Having local employees was a major point with me.”

“Lans has been a great partner to work with,” said Tim Sanborn, president of Cazeault Solar and Home, in a statement. “His 22.8 kilowatt-size system will produce over 22,500 KWH of electricity and will handle most of the electricity demands at the showroom and headquarters.”

“Lans and Grand Banks becomes our 14th commercial solar partner on Cape Ann,” said Sanborn. “Lans is joining a growing community of business leaders who are making a decision to support energy independence while supporting Local businesses.”
